Nightwalk was founded by 21 year old Dakota Doney, who began his music career in his home state of Connecticut. He played drums for an original band called "Obsidian", which won a battle of the bands competition in Boston, MA.

 

Shortly after that, Dakota joined a throwback cover band "Flashback", (winner of the 2012 Majestic Theater competition) where he began to sing and play bass. This quickly developed into a drive to learn more instruments, leading to learning guitar, keyboard, and playing for a local group, "Suffield Around Town Singers and Orchestra".

At 17 he decided to try writing his first song, and quickly released 4 albums under the name "Dakota Doney". His progression throughout the years was notable, and can be traced from the early creations, all the way to the culmination of his work, "The Abyss".

He taught himself to record, mix, write, and produce his music. His newest project is a reflection of the tides of human civilization and society, and the prospect that answers for our future lie in our past.

Dakota is a Senior at Arizona State University (online), majoring in English and minoring in Mass Communication. He also has a blog where he posts about contemporary subjects, or his favorite music.
